"Headboard"

A few weeks a go I had posted pictures of our bedroom. Although, I am still not quite finished with it, and  need to add a few little things here and there (like lampshades- ha ha), I thought I would give you an update.

I had been looking for some old barn wood to make a headboard out of, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any. However, I did run across some white barn doors- soooo, I just went with it!

After rearranging my room yet again, (with the help of our dear nanny- Chelsea, thank you!),  we were able to get hopefully get it "right" this time. It is a very awkward room, and doesn't have a wall that is large enough to center the bed on. I ended up taking down the curtains on the smaller window, and "blocking it off" and then placing the bed in front of the window.

And here it is now...

It's Saturday morning...there is no making up the beds around here :)

Moved the ottoman to the window for a nice comfy reading spot...
I would like to add some shades on our window for added privacy and texture

and still no lampshades...

I have two more pillows that are missing from this photo (Evelyn spilled chocolate milk last night on them...).
My WWII "Keep Calm & Carry On" poster is a great reminder each day.

The other side of the room (bassinet will go under the mirror).

And a close up...

Happy Saturday Everyone...hope you all are enjoying a lovely President's Day Weekend!

~Cheers,
Melissa
